The Association obtained funding fro the implementation of the Horizon Europe REFOREST project as part of the consortium consisting of 14 partners from 10 EU member states. The first meeting of the group took place in Prague on September 12-13th, 2022. The project coordinator is Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. The full title of the project is “Agroforestry at the forefront of farming sustainability in multifunctional landscapes in Europe”.
The project is aimed at supporting the innovation process in agriculture, knowledge exchange and providing innovative solutions in the field of multifunctional development of agricultural land for the purpose of strenghtening the position of farmers in the supply chain. The priority of the project is to develop sustainable agricultural production technologies in agroforestry for the EU and associated countries, focusing on improving soil carbon sequestration and biodiversity.
