It was with great pleasure that we took part in the international seminar entitled ‘Trees – a remedy for ecological transition and climate change adaptation’, funded as part of the Erasmus project. Thanks to the hospitality of Mr Tomasz Partyka, Director of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Piła, we were able to take part in a fantastic event and discussion between expert foresters, advisers, farmers and agroforestry specialists. Guests from France, representing the organisations Arbre et Paysage 32 and Permalab, presented their concepts and activities regarding the transformation of the agricultural landscape into an agroforestry and regenerative model for water resource management. Robert Borek, in turn, presented the Polish perspective on this transformation, drawing on the experiences and results of the REFOREST project, in particular the decision support tools.
